Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 20, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what information Fausak Accounting (“we,” “us”) collects through the website at https://fausakaccounting.com (the “Site”), how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to the Site only — information you provide to us as a client is protected by professional confidentiality obligations and your engagement letter, which go beyond this policy.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide. When you submit the contact form, we collect your first and last name, email address, phone number, and the message you write. Providing this information is voluntary, but we need it to respond to your inquiry.

Information collected automatically. Our hosting provider (Vercel) automatically processes standard technical data needed to deliver web pages — such as your IP address, browser type, and requested pages — in server logs. We do not use analytics trackers, advertising pixels, or social-media plugins, and we do not build profiles of visitors.

2. How We Use Information

We use the information described above to:

  • respond to your inquiry and communicate with you about our services;
  • operate, maintain, and secure the Site (including spam prevention and rate limiting);
  • diagnose delivery failures of the contact form; and
  • comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

3. How Information Is Shared

We share information only with the service providers that make the Site work, and only to the extent needed:

  • Web3Forms transmits your contact-form submission to our inbox;
  • Vercel hosts the Site and processes server logs;
  • TaxDome operates the client portal — information you enter there is governed by TaxDome’s own privacy policy and our client engagement.

We may also disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or other legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our firm, our clients, or others.

4. Cookies and Local Storage

The Site does not use advertising or analytics cookies. To make the contact form work well, the Site stores a small amount of data in your own browser’s local storage (it never leaves your device):

  • fausak_contact_draft — an autosaved copy of an unsent message, so your text isn’t lost if the page reloads;
  • fausak_contact_submitted — a timestamp used to limit repeat submissions;
  • fausak_contact_failures and fausak_contact_failure_reported — counters used to detect delivery problems.

You can clear these at any time through your browser’s settings (clear site data).

5. Data Retention

Contact-form messages are retained in our email system for as long as needed to respond to and follow up on your inquiry, and then in accordance with our record-retention practices and legal obligations. Local-storage entries described above expire or are cleared automatically by the Site or by you.

6. Security

The Site is served over HTTPS, and contact-form submissions are transmitted over encrypted connections. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security — please do not submit sensitive information (such as Social Security numbers or account numbers) through the contact form. Established clients should use the secure client portal instead.

7. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal information — such as the right to know what we hold about you, and to request access, correction, or deletion. Texas residents may have rights under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act. To exercise any of these rights, contact us through our contact page and we will respond within the time required by applicable law. We will never discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.

8. Children's Privacy

The Site is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Third-Party Sites

The Site links to third-party websites and services (such as the client portal). Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, which we encourage you to review.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here and revise the “Last updated” date. Material changes will be reflected prominently on this page.
